Annie is an experienced general specialist registered occupational therapist with more than 12 years’ experience. She is an active member of Occupational Therapy Australia, a volunteer with the national DVA working party committee, a state representative with the Australasian Lymphology Association and sits on a number of subcommittees. She is also a newly-appointed board member of Health Practitioners Alliance NT.
Annie’s special interests are lymphoedema, scar management, driving, rehabilitation and cognitive dysfunction. In her general specialist role, she has extensive experience in equipment prescription including home modifications (simple and complex), specialised garment prescription, and cognitive and functional assessments. She also has extensive experience in a variety of cultural areas and has worked in remote communities to promote independence and function.
Annie is an active member of her profession, volunteering her time on a number of local and national committees to enhance the opportunities of her colleagues and improve service delivery for all Australians. Annie’s life experiences prior to becoming an occupational therapist has augmented her unique approach to therapy and problem solving, enabling improved participation, independence and safety for all her clients.
