Psychologist - position available

Territory Therapy Solutions is a highly regarded, locally owned, Darwin-based allied health practice. We provide high quality and innovative occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, and exercise physiology services to people with complex disabilities and catastrophic injuries.

We provide therapy services to urban and regional centres of Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant Creek and also remote and very remote areas across Northern Territory.

Territory Therapy Solutions continues to experience high demand for psychological services and are seeking a part-time or full-time registered psychologist to join our highly experienced and friendly team.

Role Description
This role suits a Psychologist who:

  • is interested in providing services to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, often with complex presentations and high needs,
  • has a desire to work in a collaborative and team environment,
  • has highly developed oral and written communication skills,
  • is able to deliver emotional well-being programs in group settings including workplace and residential homes,
  • has a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice
  • is willing to travel to regional and remote locations of the Northern Territory when opportunities arise,
  • is resourceful, creative and curious.

Essential Skills
To be successful, you will need:

  • To have full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulations Agency)
  • Experience in providing evidence based psychological interventions using a variety of modalities
  • Current driver’s licence

Desirable Skills
We are particularly interested in an applicant who:

  • has experience conducting behavioural and/or cognitive assessments

Qualifications Required
Degree in Psychology

  • Full APHRA Registration
  • NT Ochre Card

Dependent on experience and qualifications, the successful applicant will be offered:

  • Generous salary package ranging from $80,000 – $130,000 per annum
  • Superannuation
  • 6 weeks annual recreation leave
  • 3 weeks personal leave
  • 2 weeks of professional development (conditions apply)
  • Maternity leave, conditions apply
