Occupational Therapist - position available

Territory Therapy Solutions continues to experience high demand for occupational therapy services and are seeking a superstar occupational therapist to join our highly experienced and friendly team. We are seeking a part time or a full-time occupational therapist dependent on the successful applicant.

 

Role Description:

This role suits an occupational therapist who is:

• Interested in working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

• Interested and experienced in providing services to people with complex presentations and high needs due to neurological causes.

• Team player with an ability to contribute collaboratively towards person centred outcomes and their quality of life.

  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Resourceful, creative, and adventurous.
  • Willing to travel via plane, road or boat to complete work in the remote

communities of the Northern Territory.

 

Essential Skills/Requirements:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with Australian Health Practitioners Regulations Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience and interest in working with Indigenous Australians
  • Completion of assessments and treatment programs relevant to occupational therapy for clients with a broad range of diagnoses including neurological, spinal, multi trauma, progressive degenerative, amputee, sensory and cognitive issues and congenital conditions.
  • Equipment Prescription: – low cost and complex
  • Completion of home modifications assessments -Simple to Complex home modifications.
  • Completion of assessments and therapy programs to consider cognitive, upper limb, sensory and capacity building programs
  • Working with and managing therapy assistants.
  • Completion of FIM, and care needs assessments.
  • Worker training to improve functional outcomes.
  • Travel to home, community (urban, remote and very remote settings)

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Driver Trained Occupational Therapy Assessment and rehabilitation programs
  • Vehicle Modifications

 

Remuneration:

Dependent on experience and qualifications, the successful applicant will be offered:

Generous salary package ranging from $80,000-$130,00 per annum.

  • Superannuation.
  • 6 weeks annual recreation leave and 3 weeks personal leave.
  • 2 weeks of professional development, and a professional development allowance
  • Maternity leave, conditions apply

Physiotherapist - Team Leader (Rehabilitation and Neurology) - position available

Our physiotherapists are motivated to make a difference for those who are affected by movement disorders of neurological causes and use evidence-based principles of treatment to manage and treat their clients.

 

We are looking for a super star physiotherapist to lead our fantastic team of physiotherapists. It is preferable that our new physio team leader has worked in leadership roles within a multidisciplinary setting and has a passion to nurture and grow their team members in their clinical skills and aspirations.

 

The physiotherapist must also be passionate about and experience in working with clients with complex disabilities and medical conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, progressive neurological conditions, amputations, and multi- trauma.

 

Role Description:

This role suits a part time or full time physiotherapist who:

  • Is experienced in working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Is experienced in providing physiotherapy interventions to people with complex disabilities and catastrophic injuries.
  • Has experience in working in multidisciplinary settings and in a senior professional role.
  • Is a team player with an ability to contribute collaboratively towards person centred outcomes and their quality of life.
  • Enjoys and is willing to travel throughout the Territory to complete physio assessments and interventions in a range of community settings.
  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Is resourceful, creative, and adaptable
  • Is a good swimmer.

 

Essential Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor or higher qualification of Physiotherapy.
  • Registered with Australian Health Practitioners Regulations Agency (AHPRA)
  • Personal indemnity insurance.
  • Hydrotherapy qualifications and experience.
  • Current Ochre Care and police check.
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Evidence of further study in managing clients with neurological conditions.
  • Understanding and experience working with clients under the NDIS, third party and workers compensation schemes
  • Experience in high level mobility assessments and interventions including HIMAT.
  • Experience in vestibular assessment and treatment.

 

Remuneration:

Dependent on experience and qualifications, the successful candidate will be offered
